As a CRBA member your input is needed! All you have to do is choose a committee that interests you and email the staff person listed. You will be notified of the next meeting! Some meet monthly, others on an as needed basis. You are sure to find just the right one(s) for you. Join one or join several-the choice is yours! All meetings are announced on the Weekly Update!

Education/CEU Committee

Identifies the educational needs of the association's membership and coordinates education activities to ensure member needs are met and remains abreast of industry issues and trends in order to provide relevant training.

Membership Committee

Working in conjunction with staff, plans and conducts programs for membership development. Committee members assist with recruitment and retention of members while actively promoting CRBA events and programs.

Workforce Development Committee

Collaborates with policymakers as well as local educators and high school students to plan effective ways to address some of the issues that have contributed to chronic labor shortages in the housing industry and misperceptions of the industry.  Committee members help raise awareness about the labor shortage issue, educate the public about job opportunities in the trades and recruit the next generation of skilled labor in the housing industry.

CRBA Parade of Homes CommitteeParade of Homes Committee

Establishes dates for the annual Parade and develops a set of rules and regulations governing the event.  Solicits builders, advertisers and sponsors for the Parade of Homes.  Coordinates volunteer efforts for material distribution and approves promotional materials.

Building and Remodeling Show CommitteeBuilding & Remodeling Show Committee

Works in conjunction with staff to produce the annual home expo to promote the products and services related to the home building industry.  The committee develops special events and attractions and updates rules and regulations governing the event. Coordinates volunteers to work during move-in and show hours.

CRBA Remodelers CouncilCRBA Remodelers

($80.00 yearly membership dues-- well worth your investment)

Provides education on remodeling issues, opportunities and topics to remodeler and association members.  Provides networking opportunities for members involved in remodeling and encourages membership in the association and council. Offers a tremendous opportunity to market you and your product and/or services.

Greater Baton Rouge HBA Build PACGreater Baton Rouge HBA Build PAC

($25 annual commitment)

Reviews and meets with candidates for local office and establishes which candidate will be the most supportive of the building industry. Arranges forums for candidates so that members will have the opportunity to meet them and choose who they want to support. Approves political fundraising requests.

Capital Region Builders FoundationCapital Region Builder Foundation

The CRBF committee is responsible for choosing which non-profit organizations should be supported each year. When charity homes are built, this committee works with the builder in soliciting donations of cash, materials and labor. They promote ticket sales and marketing for the home giveaway.
