Membership In Capital Region Builders Association

Membership at Capital Region Builders Association

All builders, remodeling contractors and trade partners that are involved in the home building industry should consider investing in membership. Nationally, about one-third of NAHB members are home builders and/or remodelers, while the remaining two-thirds work in closely related fields such as building product suppliers, mortgage financing, realtors, etc.  CRBA is unique because almost half of our members are residential builders and remodelers.

The Top 8 Reasons to Join CRBA

1. Strength in Numbers: 3-in-1 Membership

When you join the CRBA, you also become a member of the Louisiana Home Builders Association (LHBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). This benefit brings members the best of all worlds — local networking and resources, along with access to invaluable state and national information and privileges.

5. Your first year of membership free

If you join through the Louisiana Homebuilders Self-Insurers Fund, they will pay your first year's membership dues for you.

2. Legislative and Regulatory Advocacy at all levels of government—local, state and federal

From building permitting and development, to statewide tax issues, to federal safety regulation, your membership gives you a voice. Successful advocacy efforts by CRBA, LHBA and NAHB have saved individual builders and home buyers thousands of dollars per home each year. Collectively, these savings exceed several billion dollars and directly affect your business’ bottom line.

6. Support your community

CRBA has a history of giving back to the community in a variety ways, and our member volunteers have contributed their resources to making their communities better places in which to live, work, and play.

3. Project a positive image to your customers

Membership demonstrates a business’ initiative, its engagement in the industry, and its commitment to staying abreast of current developments in the market. According to a national study, approximately 85 percent of all business failures occur in companies that are not members of their trade association.

7. Expand your professional network

Membership affords you opportunities to increase business and connect with other construction industry professionals. Bring awareness to your company and learn what your peers are doing. Events include general membership meetings, after-hours socials, golf tournaments, educational events, and more.

4. Gain a competitive edge and broaden your knowledge

Your membership will help you stay on top of what’s happening in the industry and may also inspire ideas to help you grow your business. CRBA offers industry specific education through NAHB designation courses, statewide initiatives, and classes of local interest.

8. Members-only discounts

You can easily cover the cost of your membership by taking advantage of discount programs offered by your local, state and national associations on products and services that you use everyday, from insurance to office supplies to General Motors vehicles. See all discounts, benefits and affinity programs.

CRBA Member Testimonials

Robert Carroll, Carroll ConstructionCarroll Construction's membership in CRBA helps keep us competitive because there are so many opportunities to network, market to our target clients, and even share industry information between members. Another incredibly important aspect of CRBA membership is staying up-to-date on regulatory issues, business administration solutions, local codes & ordinances, and national/state/local trends.

Blazier Media, David BlazierAs a service provider who specializes in working with businesses in the construction and remodeling industry, there is no better organization in which to market than the CRBA! The multiple networking events offer me a chance to get face-time with potential clients, and the community events, like the Parade of Homes and Building & Remodeling Show, provide an opportunity for me to reach non-members within the industry.
